Overview
Founded in 1845, Tilton School is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory school serving students from 9th to 12th grade and postgraduates.
We have 220 students consisting of day and boarding from 19 states and 16 countries.
With a small student body and dedicated staff, we are focused on helping every student realize the power of his or her own potential.
We believe that students who are able to effectively communicate, collaborate, think critically and creatively, and engage with mindfulness and compassion are better prepared to thrive in an ever-changing world. To do this, Tilton School provides students with a uniquely customized learning process that uses authentic assessments of skills, interests, and learning style preferences to help them create their own Personalized Guided Program of Study for their journey at Tilton.
Brewster Academy is a leading New Hampshire boarding school and private prep school in New England, set on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, just two hours from Boston and a short drive to the White Mountains.
Our lakeside campus stretches along a half-mile of shoreline and features 20 dormitories with attached faculty residences, creating a supportive, relationship-centered boarding school community.
Students live and learn steps from Wolfeboro's vibrant downtown, with coffee shops, restaurants, and local shops that extend campus life into the surrounding community.
At the heart of campus stands our academic center, complemented by a 50,000 square-foot athletics facility overlooking playing fields, the lake, and the mountains-an inspiring setting for academics and competitive sports.
A recently renovated Performing Arts and Student Center serves as the creative heart of campus and a dynamic gathering space for all-school meetings, performances, and community celebrations.
Just steps from campus, downtown Wolfeboro is the perfect place to unwind, whether you're grabbing ice cream by the lake, strolling past local shops and galleries, or catching an outdoor concert. Few boarding schools can claim a vibrant downtown as an extension of campus, but here, the town itself becomes part of the Brewster experience. This safe, welcoming community is full of charm and activity, offering students easy access to everything from smoothie, coffee, and pizza spots to festivals and scenic trails. It's no wonder ourstudents love calling Wolfeboro home.
